African American Language: Gaining knowledge and sharing it with your students. This website discusses the beauty, brilliance, and legitimacy of African American Language. African American Language is a language with its own set of rules and grammatical structures. 99% of African Americans will use AAL. African American Language is a language used by all different types of people and derives from West African languages. Please join us in exploring the wonderful language of AAL and how you can teach your students to appreciate and use this language in the classroom.
